"More Puppy Love"

This past week my husband and I decided to take in a little two year old miniature Pomeranian named "Hercules". Although he is about half the size of our other Pomeranian, Tiger, they seem to be getting along just fine. As a "welcome to the family" I decided to snap a couple quick photos of them at the house. You can tell Tiger is used to being "my model" - he just sits for me now and poses. Hercules wasn't so sure he wanted to have anything to do with the camera, however, I still think that we got a couple cute shots - enjoy! (Note: Tiger is the dog in the photo with the collar)

Last Sunday I got the wonderful opportunity to take family photos for Joey, Jenn, their new son, Drayton. Since we took the photos at Joey's parents home we got the chance to get the whole family in a lot of the pictures, they looked great. We had a wonderful time, can't wait to see them again soon. Drayton was SO ADORABLE!...

"Joined In Love on 8.8.08"

With 8 being a lucky number, Kristina and Irvin decided to tie the knot on 8.8.08. It was a beautiful Friday wedding where love was obviously in the air. I was honored to be able to photograph it for them and loved to see the day unfold. Kristina's daughter, Olivia, was the adorable flower girl and Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, MN made a beautiful backdrop for their big day - everything was gorgeous!

"Love Is In The Air"

Love was in the air this weekend as I photographed two weddings, one on Friday
(8.8.08) and assisted with another one on Saturday - it was a blast! These photos are from Lindsay and PJ's wedding on Saturday. They were married in Woodville, WI and their reception was in Scandia, MN. It was quite a drive, but it was such a nice day it didn't matter. They looked like they had a lot of fun and everything turned out beautiful.

"No One Is Perfect Until You Fall In Love With Them"

This week I photographed both Lainey and Jeremy at the MN Arboretum in Chaska for their engagement photo session, boy was it beautiful there! I have really wanted to get over there to take photos and I finally got to. Although it rained earlier in the day, we couldn't have asked for better "picture weather" when it was time to actually take their photos. They are a really sweet couple and you can really see the love that they have for one another - I can't wait to see their wedding in 2009!

On Saturday, July 26th it was my privilege to be asked to photograph Emily and Jason's wedding at The Great Hall in St.Paul, MN. It was a beautiful location for their special day and Mears Park was also a great place for photos. Their son James was adorable as their ring bearer and everyone looked as if they were having a wonderful time!

"Oh Amy....

Where do I even begin? I was just about to go to bed when I got your message last night and I spent like 2 hours going through all of the pictures. I couldn't stop! I was speechless at how beautiful they all turned out. I would find one and say "That's my favorite!" and then 2 pictures later, go "No, that's my favorite!". (Erik was doing the same thing this morning!) It was so fun getting to see all the details of the day that I didn't get to see before - like the tables all set up, and the chairs ready to go. (I think it's because I got left downstairs in the laundry room for 30 minutes while Erik was wandering around outside - I really didn't get to see anything before I walked out with Dad! Hee hee hee!) I mean, the picture of the Best Friend sign under our TV stand, and the "I love you" I casually wrote on the
kitchen blackboard (Liz gave it to us as a Christmas present and that's the only thing that has ever been written on it!) - just, wow. I'm starting to cry all over again thinking about it. It was all just perfectly wonderful. And can I say, that picture of me and Brandy right before I walked out? She's been my constant companion through everything, and I'll treasure that captured moment for the rest of my life.

Seriously, the gift you have for capturing the smallest details and the care that you take doing it is truly amazing. Erik and I could not be happier with everything - and there's no other way to say it! You rocked it, lady. Over 95+ heat, and you didn't even skip a beat - you were your absolute wonderful self, knowing exactly what pose you wanted next and coming
up with ideas on the spot. I cannot even tell you how many compliments we received during and after about how creative, professional and fun you were - everyone loved you (which is no surprise at all!)! The road that Erik and I have taken from being teenager best friends to finally being married best friends has been a long and winding one, so to say that June 11th was a big day for us and our families would be a massive understatement. You perfectly captured it all for us, and there is no other way to do justice to how much it meant to us to have you there, except to just say Thank you - so incredibly much. I can't wait to get the CDs and start picking out pictures for our
walls!!!

"Amy Olson was the photographer at our wedding on April 25, 2009 at the Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota. We were absolutely impressed with her services. We had our pictures taken before the wedding. We were both nervous and Amy put us at ease and made taking pictures a lot of fun. She started with the two of us and then did family pictures. Amy has a natural way of making it fun and calming at the same time.
Amy is very creative. We were not looking for the normal type of wedding pictures; we wanted them to be different, fun, and natural. She absolutely captured that, while still getting the traditional family pictures.
Our pictures were provided to us on discs in a very short time frame. We are thoroughly happy with how they all turned out. The only problem is that there are so many we like, it is hard to choose which ones we wanted to frame. Amy policy of allowing her clients to have all of the pictures she takes helps with this. We get to keep them all.
Overall, I would say that our experience with Amy was absolutely excellent and I would highly recommend her services. I know we will be calling her when our kid’s graduations come up.
